Is a CAMBMS certificate a licence to practise?
No. A CAMBMS certificate is a professional credential awarded by the Academy after training and assessment. It is not a government licence or statutory registration. Practitioners must follow the laws and regulations of the country where they work.
How do I check whether a certificate is genuine?
Use the certificate register and enter the certificate number. If the certificate is not found or the details do not match, please contact us.
What does the membership expiry date mean?
Each certificate record shows a membership expiry date. Before that date the holder's membership is active. After it, the record still confirms that the certificate was issued, and the membership is shown as expired until it is renewed.
My name or details in the register are incorrect. What should I do?
Please contact us with your certificate number and the correction needed. We may ask for supporting documents before updating the record.
Does the Academy provide medical treatment?
No. The Academy is an education, accreditation and research institution. The disciplines we teach support wellbeing and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a qualified health professional.
Will a CAMBMS course qualify me as a naturopathic doctor?
No. Licensed naturopathic doctors in the United States and Canada complete a four-year doctoral programme. See our naturopathic medicine schools page for accredited programmes.
Do partner institutes deliver CAMBMS training?
Yes. Training may be delivered by the Academy or by recognised partner institutes. Certificates are issued by CAMBMS and recorded in our register.
How can I find out about current training?
